On the way to Moab, Utah - to meet Tom/Lori Davies and Don/Val Hecker.
Yesterday, Tuesday, we left Snoqualmie Pass for Eden Utah, to meet up with Tom and Lori for two nights before Moab. We were planning on riding our bikes near Ogden, while Tom and Lori were going to go backcountry skiing at Snowbasin resort. Unfortunately, it was pouring down rain when we all woke up. Tom was determined. He and Lori geared up and drove to Snowbasin, even though she kept telling Tom that she didn't need to ski in the rain ever again. By the time they arrived at the mountain, it was raining harder. They ended up heading back down to Eden and took a walk in the rain.
Francine and Kevin ditched plans to bike, and after hot tubbing in the rain, drove to Ogden to see the town. Had a latte and cookie at a coffee shop and tried to walk around the 24th Street District. By 2 pm, the town of Ogden was clear and drying up. We were hoping to be able to at least ride the pavement once we got back at the condo in Eden, but as we left Ogden and headed up the canyon to Eden, it was still raining.
Looking for an activity for the day, Lori found us a yoga class - Gentle Yoga at 5:30pm. It was sure gentle. I think we laid on the ground for about 15 minutes at the beginning of class, and did the corpse pose for about 15 minutes at the end of class. We never got off the ground in our "restoration" yoga session, as the instructor described the class. But, we did feel better after the class.
Tomorrow, we head to Moab, Utah. Today it is 80 in Moab. Tomorrow, Moab is only supposed to have a high of mid 50's with showers.
