We arrived on Monday afternoon, checking into Hotel Linder in La Selva Val Gardena, Italy. We made it to the Dolomites. Our hotel is super cute, complete with the Bavarian look. Kevin says we could be in Leavenworth. Everything here is gorgeous, updated, and super clean.

Bikers clean up after daily ride |
There isn't much time in a day to post to the blog. Get up for breakfast at 7am. Shower and outside with bikes and camelbacks by 8:30am. Ride all day. Get back to the hotel around 4pm. Sit outside and socialize and drink. Shower and 15 minutes rest (if we are lucky) before dinner at 7pm. 4 course Dinner takes 2 hours. 9:15pm is nightly meeting where Gunther (owner) goes over the next day's ride, shows the pictures taken of all the groups/tours for the day, and takes signups for the next day. Back to the room around 10pm - 10:15pm. Go to sleep and do it again the next day.
Todays ride started at 9am, with a stiff climb to a Gondola. Francine was definitely the last climber in the group. We climbed up and down, thru gorgeous meadows and streets.
We descended and made our way to 3 or 4 gondolas today. The guides immediately took Kevin and another guy from Sweden, Ricardo on more technical trails. We did get to see them at lunch, as the guides were in cell phone contact. There were more cows, horses and burrows on the hillsides. Mitch, a solo guy from Australia was grouped up with Francine's group, which also included Mia and a guy from Germany.
We were pretty spent at the end of the day, even though we were only supposed to climb 400 meters today. Can you say steep descents? Also can you say too many pictures. Have phone, camera, and shots by the guides. Sorry shots out of order.
