Nov. 23, Day 2, Summit West
Woke up with three inches of snow on the deck. Headed back to West for nice, soft, tracks. Ran into Brandon for two morning laps, then took a lap up Thunderbird. Took a quick lunch then came back with Francine for two more laps down Draft Dodger. Amazing how much bigger Summit West skies when you have to ski tour.
Nov 21, Day 1, Summit West
After ten days in Mexico, we jumped right into ski season. Summit West is skiing really well now with excellent coverage. Hooked up with Francine and Kristin for a couple of laps.
Snow was little frozen up, but we were skiing around 1:00 and snow was starting to soften. We definitely stayed on the main runs that had been somewhat groomed.
June 12-18, Chelan
Took Pat and Larry over to Lake Chelan for the week. Did the usual mountain biking up at Echo Valley.
June 1, Double Tap, Alpental and Silver Peak Basin
Rolled out early for Alpental. Had to walk on dirt to base of Lower International, then booted Lower I as well. Toured out to Pineapple Pass. On descent managed to stay on snow back to the water tower but it was sporty. Then that afternoon I hooked up with Kelly and Hillary to ski Silver Peak basin.

May 31, Teanaway
Was feeling motivated so after riding up to the ridge we dropped off the backside. Took the black route which was pretty but put us lower than needed and had some bushwhacking at the bottom. Rode ridge trail and sandy uphill to finish on Rat Pac.
May 8, Alpental
Despite Washington reopening outdoor recreation the National Forest seems to be on their own timeline. It's okay to go golfing but not skiing. Unfortunately, forced to break the rules, I rode my dirt bike over to Alpental and slid behind the fencing. Slopes were in great shape with minimal tracks after the last snowfall. Plenty of snow from top to bottom. Ventured out into North facing sidecountry for firmer turns.
April 2020 Random Shots
2020, the year of Covid 19. Stay out of the woods. Don't leave your house. Don't do anything risky. Be very careful at Safeway or you may die. In the face of massive online criticism of those that attempted to live a normal life in the outdoors, I have refrained from posting up my "risky" lifestyle. I do have a handful of pictures cluttering up my cell phone. So while trapped indoors enjoy a few photos of the outside world. Peace
