Feb. 1, Across the Way

In search of a zone that might not have gotten tracked up over the weekend, Scott and I got a lift to the other side of the freeway.   We had a few snowshoe tracks to deal with, but the zone was devoid of any indication that skiers had touched it over the weekend.   We switch-backed up one couloir then dropped the next one over.   Snow was about six inches over fairly firm crust.   The lower snowfields were still showing the effects of the rain event last week, but overall it was a good ski.   Always enjoy the views, as we look back towards home and Central Snoqualmie Ski hill.
