Today we head to Verona for the night, before making our way to the Dolomites.  Sally dropped of Jessica/Casey and Francine/Kevin at the Castelfiorentino train station, as they were heading to Rome from Florence, and we would head to Verona.

Luckily, we were able to check in early at our hotel in Verona, so Kevin took a nap, while Francine walked around in the hot weather.  Today is was supposed to be 87 degrees.  After making it to the river, she headed back to the Arena area, where our hotel is located.  By chance she found Julietta's Casa, as there were bunches of folks crowding into a arched walkway/tunnel, to a courtyard.

Francine made it back to the hotel, to find Kevin ready and up for going out for a walk.  She still needed water, food and to cool down.

After asking the front desk for a walking route, we headed back out in the heat.  We found Piazza Erbe, a big open square with street vendors in the middle.  Next, we headed towards the river.  We made our way to the Castel San Pietro, as once we crossed the river, we saw signs for a funicular.  We rode that up the hill for views back to the town.

Our feet were tired, and we made our way back thru the little streets to the Hotel Guiletta e Romeo for a quick break, before the Dolomites, La SElva Val Gardena, to say for a week a Bike Hotel Linder.
